TUCKASEEGEE

The Tuck is one of North Carolina’s most well known trout streams. Falling under NC’s Hatchery Supported and Delayed Harvest regulations, the Tuck is stocked several times annually with brook trout, brown trout and rainbow trout. This high fish density combined with a multitude of boat ramps and wade access points makes the Tuck a great option for any angler.

The upper Delayed Harvest section is a great float option located near Sylva, NC. Below Sylva, the Tuck offers the adventurous angler the ability to float fish through a remote gorge section that holds spectacular wild brown trout. The lowest section of the Tuck that we fish runs through Bryson City, NC. This section of the river is a short float but it boasts the highest fish density of the entire river.

With over 40 miles of floatable water, most of which is accessible only by boat, the Tuck has an option for every fishing trip. Due to the stocking schedule, the Tuck is best fished from October until June.
