How do we decide where we fish?

All trips are custom built for you! You and your guide will work together to come up with a plan for your day on the water.

how do we get to the river?

There are a number of different ways that we can make your day on the water convenient and seamless. Some guests prefer the comfort of their own vehicle for their ride to the river, others prefer to ride up with the guide to get the “guide scoop” before getting on the water. Either way, we’ll make sure you get to the right spot.

Where do we meet?

Your guide will reach out to you 24-48 hours before your trip to discuss the finer details of your trip. Often we will meet at a public location, such as a grocery store, close to the fishing venue.

how long do we fish for?

Half day trips run approximately 4 hours while our full day trips run approximately 8 hours. This time does not include travel time to and from the river.

Why do we have to drive to GET TO THE fish?

Asheville is known for it’s central location to a multitude of fishable waters. However, the old saying in the mountains is that it takes an hour to get anywhere. This is the case for the majority of our waterways. The Watauga, South Holston, and Tuckaseegee are all roughly 1 hour away from Asheville, NC.

WHAT GEAR SHOULD I BRING?

All of our guests on guide trips will receive all necessary fishing gear on the trip at no extra charge. This includes rods, reels, flies, terminal tackle, waders and wading boots. If you prefer to fish your own gear, feel free to bring it along!
